On the 12th April 2009 was my darling’s birthday, had a trip back to celebrate with him and also to discuss about our marriage with two parties’ parents.
We went to tried out the dim sum at Imperial Garden restaurant at Menara Intan, next to Armada Hotel, Petaling Jaya with mom and Jarod. Below were some dishes we tried they were having offer of 50% discount.

We had a very good breakfast, the food was good. Besides having a good breakfast we had other objective is too look for our wedding dinner venue as on the internet it looks good.

The decoration was great, but the hall was narrow as what was mentioned in the Malaysian Bride’s forum. So mom adviced it’s too narrow for elderly guest to sit and other guests to moves around. So we went to another locations to look around and came by Ming Cuisine restaurant at Sec19, Petaling Jaya

As for the food, tried there before was not too bad so mom will be waiting for my sister to come back from U.K. to try the food before we decide the venue as for my FH he was quite pleased with this restaurant as it also have halal food provide by the next door halal club kitchen.
We had his birthday celebration at Yuen Yuen Steamboat Restaurant at Mentari, Bandar Sunway.

Taking photo with my darling’s parents

my parent’s turn….cheese~~~

Darling and his whole gang of friends….
We had so much from the steamboat. As usual we did chase after the delicious chicken of theirs. Luckily I have my darling the champion of grabbing it in the crowd. All of us enjoyed the dinner.

Then after dinner we went to Republic for some drinks while waiting for midnight to strike for my darling’s birthday. Able to grabbed some photos before everyone gets drunk…=p

We had so much fun..especially the birthday boy..

A small birthday surpirse for darling at the clock strike 12…like cinderella story…

Then came a few friends that I have not met before. They were like celebrating for us getting engaged giving us a couple drink. It was crazy that moment but able to gulp it down!
Then other days were passing by so fast and it’s time for me to go back to Singapore. Was so sad to leave…

Was glad this year I had 6 days of CNY holiday granted. Went back home to celebrate with my family.
The first day of Chinese New Year as usual we went to visit our Grandaunt at Kepong, at that same time when we reached her neighbour was having a lion dance performance.

After that later that night, Kiah Joo and his family came to visit us with his dearest junior, Alex!

He was a great thrower…so I think he will become a good basketball player or either a bowler…haha he was so active and adorable…
Comes to the 2nd day of CNY, as usual its a routine to go over to Kim Fei’s aunt’s house. So we went there and as usual another routine my cousin sister will bring her princesses over to our house, so after lunch at Kim Fei’s aunt’s house they we move again back to my house.

WARMEST WISHES MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!!
This Christmas holiday my mother and hubbie came down from Kuala Lumpur to visit me. On Christmas eve, my hubbie reached Singapore and celebrated with me. We had dinner at Novena then we head back home, we count down at home with my brother! Though it sounds boring but it felt so warm being with family and the one you love. Yesterday mother reached and David cousin brother fetched her from the coach station then they went to East Coast Jumbo Seafood Restaurant to have dinner while I am still working. Then they bought some take-away food for my brother and me. But then I didn’t eat much due to need to work on the next morning whereby I will need to wake up at 0520hr.
Today we had dinner with my best buddy, Sophia at Holland Village Sushi Tei restaurant. While waiting for my friend to arrive we had starters – sashimi! Then when they arrived we ordered our main course and had lavishly. Till we are so full! Then we went to Coffee Club to have Mud Pie. Suprisingly mother love it so much and had 2 portions! The photo can be reviewed in the few previous post. It was so delicious. At least she was happy. Then we headed back home but my brother went back to work apparently he had some unfinish work needed to be done. As for my dear dear, he went out with his gamer friends. Still awaiting for him to return home. Tomorrow he will be going back to Kuala Lumpur at the same time tomorrow I will need to go to the wet market to get some groceries as mother want to cook dinner ‘Bak Kut Teh’ on Sunday! Yummy! Will take some photo and post it up later. I invited Sophia and her boyfriend along on Sunday! Yohooo…
Tong Yuen Festival December 22, 2008

This was the first time I am celebrating Tong Yuen festival away from home and without making any Tong Yuen by me.
I was working morning shift yesterday and on the way back I dropped by at Mr Bean to buy the 3-in-1 soya whereby it consist of soya milk with soya beancurd with glutinous ball filled with peanut. Then when I got back I decided to make the nuggets that I got free from Fairprice Xtra a few days back. I made nissin noodle adding ham and sausage into it. Then I fried a few pieces of nuggets. Then brother and I had it as Tong Yuen dinner. After that, we had the 3-in-1 as dessert. That night was the most filling dinner I ever have. Though not as nice as mother’s cooking but we had it happily.

Awaiting for mom to come down to Singapore to cook for us to eat. Miss her cooking dearly. She will be coming down on Xmas!! (Mother is coming down on Christmas- sing it in christmas song tune)

Today until Sunday, 24th Feb 2008, MAS is having a Travel Fair at KLCC Convection Centre. After coming back from night shift, I slept for 2 hours and woke up to go to this fair. Went with my mother as my boyfriend is at ShenZhen. Stopped by every booth to ask about the 4D/3N Hong Kong Free&Easy Package. Some are expensive and some are cheap. The cheap ones are not so attractive as the accommodation is very far away from the city, so calculating the transport fares we need to pay sum up is the same as the expensive ones. So we went to one of the booth Parlor Tour, if I am not mistaken and signed up for the package. Will be staying at Kowloon.
After that, we went to have our lunch at the food court. Mum ordered some malay mix rice and I didn’t have anything cause I am still full from my breakfast ‘Nasi Lemak’. Then after that, I stopped by at Gap store since there are having ‘Up to 50% sale’. Went a few rounds and tried on a few things but only bought 2 items. 1 khaki pants which I don’t have one beside the Giordano 1 since last 8years. Then I saw this denim skirt and I asked the promoter to help me get the size I want cause it’s bottom of the shelf and I am wearing skirt. He haven’t checked it and just snapped at me saying No size! Last piece! I was like excused me you have a bundle of it down here and you telling me last piece? He was so pissed off he took the bundle out and threw it on the top shelf and shove the skirt to me. I was like what kind of promoter is this. Bad service. 1Utama is much better. Luckily I don’t shop at KLCC that often. Anyway, beside the pant I bought a bag.
Comfortable material, its just nice on my hip.
Guarded by my favourite teddies! The bag material is very smooth and nice. The bottom of the pants has zip at both side. Pockets everywhere.
Bought this pants to go to Hong Kong trip same for the bag, apparently the travel tips said go travelling at Hong Kong its best to wear pants and tshirt.

Little Yew Yew continue the eating after main dinner.
A little fun with Mahjong, once in a year. Playing for fun.
Winning?
Someone seems to be getting ready to win.
Darling’s mother is trying out her luck with the cards.
First person whom depart from the party.
After the whole dinner, we decided to go to Bar Flam to have some fun but darling didn’t want to go as he said he is very tired. So I went with the rest of his friends. Not much fun there since the song wasn’t that good. So we spent around 2 hours there and came back home.
Later around 4am will have to send darling to the airport, he will be going to ShenZhen for business trip, so this time I hope he will be able to buy back something since they wouldn’t close shop as early as Finland. Since things there are cheap and nice. Hope he knows what to buy back for me, since he said he will get something for me for Valentine’s Day gift.
Will be missing him for a week. Will start working on Monday. I am so lazy to go to work. Sigh…..Another day has come and gone.

Today is the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. We are celebrating with fun. I took some photos for my sister to see as she missed this year’s Chinese New Year celebration whereby she is studying her final year of Bcs(Hons) Biotechnology at University of Sunderland.
Photo taken on the 6th of February which is the Chinese New Year Eve Day.
Guess what is this?
Additional 2 baskets filled with tangerines and packets of peanuts.
Another new deco in our living hall. Nice?
This is what we have for CNY eve dinner. Not too bad, half soup half porridge. Enjoyed well. Ate till bloated. Further with mum’s specialty chillie sauce.
Look at how delicious it looks, yummy…and brother ate so much that night and he got sorethroat. Lucky there is a nurse in the family, I gave him some lozenges to suck on it and he was cured!
Nonetheless the chef is enjoying her own food. Mum said “Good Good”
There my bro trying to make his girlfriend to eat more. Here take more he said.
Sad that missing 2 person but nevermind these two will replace Geoff and Juliana temporarily.
Then on the same night it’s Ying sis’s birthday, so we decided to throw her a surprise party after dinner. So other’s came over which are Tai Yee Ma, David & wife, Edric and Chu Ma.
Strawberry Cheese Cake from Cake Sense. Very delicious. The cheese is so smooth.
Brother with Ying sis taking photo. Lovely couple.
Cutting cake together. Like a couple on their wedding day cutting their wedding cake.
Both together with mum.
Together with me. This photo is taken by Edric, our so called photographer. Blur photo. I think I am a better photographer than him.
With Patrick & wife and Chu Ma. Hmm..the cake look tempting even I while I am writing this description I am looking at the cake…yum yum.
Together with David & wife.
Then right after the clock strike MIDNIGHT it’s the first day of Chinese New Year and also our eldest aunt’s birthday! We didn’t really prepared anything for her and she was thinking the previous cake is for her, so we felt bad. Then luckily mum thought of an idea we made the mooncake ice cream to become her birthday cake.
Aunt was so happy when mum bought the cake out we put 3 candles on it only. We sang birthday song for her. At the same time she won that round! Saw her tiles on the mahjong table?
Seriously making a wish and there goes BLOW!!
The very first bite on the cake…yummy!
Edric was so sad he was losing all the way, look who won. Of course our eldest aunt after the cake brought her luck! Edric said “Lose again, sigh”
On the next round after losing, look at his face. He said “I am going to win this round, ha ha ha”
The busy man looking at his handphone waiting for his round to play mahjong.
After that, on the first night of Chinese New Year, brother’s friends came over to our house and there we play again. This time we play poker. Then dad also joined along where the banker is Edric. We the Phang family “sapu” (won everything)
The second day of Chinese New Year, Liang cousin BIL with Jee cousin sister came to our house.
Chu ma and Teng getting ready to eat lunch. Peace! her trademark.
Eat Eat…so many to eat. Yummy! Actually she was trying to say shy la don’t take my photo.
Mum with eldest daughter, Kei posing on the nice Christmas Tree. They look alike don’t they? Jee sis said Kei looks like her when she was young.
Mum with youngest daughter. Peace! Their trademark again…haha
Me, Kei, Jee sis and Teng
Becky with Teng!
Me with Teng holding her choco (kinder)
Happy Teng with her choco. Peace!
Ying sis posing a peace sign on Teng’s head.
Becky with Teng and En but En seems to look very sad.
Didn’t stay too long then they went off around 4pm.

This is what mum bought at Nuzexui yesterday. Below shows the 2 lovely couple, it has its own significant meaning where is brings harmonious and safety to the whole family.

This is the one I told you the Fatt Choi Statue actually calling it the Six Happiness I think that’s what the sales rep said. Anyway its so cute. Mum even asked the sales lady to give her the red cloth together with the statue of course is excluded but with mum’s persuasion, she gave it to mum. Cute isn’t it. Look at the two little moustache, like Mr. Potato.

Anyway below are all the photos I captured during my walk at Nuzexui.
There are so many plants around for sale to prepare those whom want to decorate their house for CNY.
This is the front view of the entrance to the walk. Of course I am not far away enough to capture the shape of a cow head they made at the entrance. The first shop you see here is the shop selling donuts, delicious donuts, called Apple something.
This is the other side of the walk see there is so many things to look around. There are even shops selling biscuits and decorations for CNY.
We actually spent around 2 hours walking around here. Not bad. Just waiting for the Starbucks to open and the rest to open so it looks more attractive. I guess I will not stop by for the next 1 or 2 month till most of the shops are open.
X’Mas Celebration! January 5, 2008
Posted by Sheryl in Festival & Events, My love.add a comment
On a day before X’mas Eve, I went to Johor Bahru with Kim Fei’s family. That night we went to Danga Bay to walk around. It’s quite nice there. There is pub, fun fair, restaurants and lots of decoration. There is even a stage there where they got ready for X’Mas celebration. Anyway I took a few photos when I am there with my boyfriend.

One of the Beach Club there. We had our supper over there and the service was so bad where no one really works properly. Asking questions that are not answered. Slow not efficient enough. The bill takes around 30minutes to come and another 30minutes for the change to come.

Oooohhh..ooohhhh…aaaaa….watched out the haunted trees!

The cute soldiers lining up for people to take photo. I took some for myself.

We took this photo together by me, myself and I.

Wow, carebears!! Lots and lots of them. My favourite cartoon character. I used to watch it every Sunday morning.

The only cruise that sails around the Danga Bay. When we reached there its the last sail. So we didn’t get a chance to go aboard. So next time ya!

Trees with hanging moons. Wow so many of them. Which is the actual one?

This photo is taken when Kim Fei but he looks so sleepy must be the long journey and also lack of sleep before the journey.
Then we went to Singapore to celebrate Xmas. This year I felt there is not much at Singapore maybe there are preparing for the huge New Year celebration instead. Anyway we went to Orchard Road and saw some decorations there. Took some photos. Then when to the Fountain of Wealth and took some photo there too. It’s nothing much. Didn’t have a great time with all the crowd as usual. If its fun I don’t mind the crowd. There goes my Xmas celebration. Boring ones. Should have celebrated at KL instead.

Starlights hanging on the trees. Looking really nice and bright.

Christmas Tree with lightings all over it. Making it so bright and nice. That is really the catch in the middle of the street.

Some band singing christmas song on that day. We only stayed for a minute or two cause it was so crowded.

We found this Xmas Tree really nice and attractive so Kim Fei and I poses there to take a nice photo of us with that Xmas tree.

Say Chheeeeesseee!!! Merry Xmas And A Happy New Year!!

Same light decoration as the year before at the Fountain of the Wealth. Anyway, it’s crowded with tourists whom want to touch the water from the fountain. We didn’t stay long there was too tired and went back to hotel to countdown. Boring isn’t it? Should have stay at KL to celebrate at least go out to some pub or disco to countdown.
